CEO Damien Reynolds has been recognised in this years Queen’s Honours List for charitable services to the youth sector.
Damien led the charity single-handedly to ensure that despite the difficult and unprecedented times that the pandemic presented, and the commitments he had with a full-time job, it was more important than ever to deliver the necessary services to younger people.
He has directly helped change the lives of thousands of young people across Nottingham from loneliness, isolation and poor mental health. He went on to receive a Mental Health Champion Award from Good Morning Britain in December 2020 specifically for this hard work during the pandemic.
He is a philanthropist and has dedicated over ten years of his life in the mental health and wellbeing field of the charity sector, in order to ensure that young people have the mentoring, training, support and hope they need to survive and thrive in society.
Damien posted on his social channels ‘If someone said to me that within 3 years of taking the nervous leap of setting up The Wolfpack Project, I’d be named in the Queen’s Honours List as a recipient of a British Empire Medal (BEM) for my services to the youth sector, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson … Well, to put it mildly, I wouldn’t have believed them!
What an absolute privilege to not only be nominated and receive such an honour from Her Majesty The Queen, but to have created and continue to lead Nottingham’s Leading Youth Mental Health Charity, which most importantly, makes such a positive impact on the lives of 1000’s young people across Nottingham each year!’
We are all very proud of him and we continue to help, support and guide the young people of Nottingham towards better mental health.
